SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Chiefs are hosting a watch party for the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft this Friday, June 28.
One of the players that could be taken in the first round of this year's NHL Draft is Spokane Chiefs forward Berkly Catton. Catton totaled 116 points in his second full season with the Chiefs, scoring 54 goals while assisting 62 of them. Catton was also named the U.S. Division's Player of the Year and named to the CHL's Second All-Star Team.
If Catton is selected in the first round, he will be the first Chief since Ty Smith in 2018 to be drafted that early.
The watch party will be at the Spokane Arena, where doors will open at 3:30 p.m. before draft coverage starts at 4 p.m. The watch party is free for everyone, and you can park in the Spokane Arena VIP Parking Lot/ VIP Entrance.
There will be raffles, auctions, prizes, games and more. Concessions will be available, where they will offer a limited menu for purchase.
One of the raffle prizes includes a team autographed 2023-24 replica jersey.
