SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Chiefs forward Shea Van Olm was named the Tempo WHL Player of the Week. Van Olm scored four goals and had three assists in the weekend sweep for Spokane.
The 6-foot-1-inch, 199-pound winger is now the league leader in points with 13 and is second in the league in goals scored with seven.
Van Olm was acquired in a trade last season and is finally blossoming for the top team in the U.S. division of the WHL so far this season.
He is also tied for the league lead in first goals with teammate Rasmus Ekstrom and is tied for the league lead for power-play goals with four.
The 5-1 Chiefs now begin a long road trip Wednesday night in Prince Albert.
