Washington State MBB wins first conference tournament game since 2009

The last time the Cougs won a conference tournament game, the Pac-12 was the Pac-10.

LAS VEGAS — Washington State men's basketball beat Colorado 82-68 on Wednesday in the Pac-12 Tournament for the team's first conference tournament since the 2008-2009 season.

Back then, the conference was known as the Pac-10.

The Cougs jumped out to a double-digit lead by the first half. They got up by as many as 22 in the second half.

Forward CJ Elleby dropped 30 points in the win. Forward Tony Miller had the play of the night with a monster dunk over a defender.

Washington State moves on in the Pac-12 Tournament to play Arizona State next. Game time is at 8:30 p.m. and will air on Pac-12 Networks.
