SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Velocity FC is having it's year of firsts, including first game, first goal and first ranking. Tuesday, May 14 brought the team's first departure as goalkeeper Peter Swinkels announced his retirement from USL League One.
The 26-year-old San Francisco native earned two clean sheets in his three games played and conceded only a single goal.
“We want to thank Peter for his contributions to the team this year and we all wish him the best of luck for the future,” said Velocity head coach Leigh Veidman.
Velocity FC is expected to announce a new goalkeeper later this week.
