SEATTLE — It all started from a simple tweet at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
New WSU head football coach Nick Rolovich tweeted that he wanted to meet up with Cougar fans in Seattle that night and the WSU faithful didn’t disappoint.
Rolovich hobnobbed with Cougs at the Magnolia Village Pub, but it wasn’t just fans who showed up.
Former WSU quarterback Jack Thompson, also known as Papa Throw, came to greet WSU’s newest man in charge.
“There weren’t many people at this bar when we first got here. It was the first suggestion on Twitter and look what it’s become... It’s been a Coug gathering,” said Rolovich to KREM’s sister station KING.
Who knows if this idea will be employed by Rolovich in the future, but fans in Seattle were certainly thrilled for the Sunday night surprise.
