SEATTLE — The Seattle Kraken play a team that previously won a Stanley Cup for the third game in a row on Saturday.

In game three of a four-game homestand, the Kraken return to action on December 14 to play the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Lightning last won a Stanley Cup in 2021, and sitting near the top of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference, the Lightning are looking to steal a game from the Kraken in Seattle.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Kraken lost to the Florida Panthers in a shootout earlier in the week. Thursday night, the Kraken took on the Boston Bruins, but the Kraken responded to Tuesday night's loss to Florida, winning 5-1 against the Bruins.

The Kraken looks to continue their winning ways on Saturday and slowly inch closer to the top of the Pacific Division in the Western Conference.

Game time, channel and how to watch

You can watch Saturday's game between the Kraken and the Lightning over the air in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene region on KSKN 22 The Spot. The puck drops at the Climate Pledge Arena at 7 p.m. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m.

Seattle Kraken vs. Bruins

This is the first time this season the Kraken and Bruins will face off against each other. Saturday's matchup will be the first of two matchups this season, with the Kraken traveling to Tampa Bay in late February.

Saturday's game will be the seventh time the two teams will play against each other in their history. The Kraken have beaten the Lightning only once, having a record of 1-5 against the East Coast hockey team. The only win the Kraken have against the Lightning came in 2023 when they beat them 4-3.
