Puck drops between the Flames and Kraken at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

SEATTLE — KREM 2 has partnered with the Seattle Kraken to broadcast more than 70 non-nationally televised Kraken games for free on KREM, KSKN and other TEGNA-owned local stations.

The puck drops on the Kraken’s preseason slate of games on Sunday, September 22 against the Calgary Flames.

The Kraken will look to get back to the postseason after missing the tournament last season. The subpar season saw the club let go of Head Coach Dave Hakstol after three seasons behind the bench.

The team brought in former Stanley Cup-winning Coach Dan Bylsma for the 2024 season.

Calgary Flames vs. Seattle Kraken

Sunday’s game will be the first for both teams in the 2024 preseason. Things will look a little different for the Kraken with Dan Bylsma behind the bench. This will also be the first time to see Spokane Chief Berkly Catton play for the team that drafted him eighth overall in the NHL Entry Draft in June.

Last season the Calgary Flames ended with 51 points which coincidentally was the same amount of points the Kraken ended with. The two teams saw themselves on the outside looking in when it came to the playoffs. In the NHL Entry Draft, the Flames picked one spot after the Kraken took Catton. The Flames took defenseman Zayne Parekh from Canada.
