PULLMAN, Wash. — The first big domino to fall to the transfer portal for Washington state football happened on Thursday afternoon. The Cougs leading receiver Josh Kelly is on his way out of Pullman.
Kelly, a redshirt junior that transferred to WSU from Fresno State this past season, led the Cougs in receiving yards with 923 and receiving touchdowns with eight.
While there have been Cougs to enter the portal, Kelly is the first big contributor from this year to do so.
It will continue to be speculation, but names such as quarterback Cam Ward and safety Jaden Hicks are names that have been reported to be getting big NIL offers and could join Kelly on the way out.
The official opening of the transfer portal is at midnight on December 4th.
