WSU men's basketball unleashes 19-1 run to begin second half to beat Bradley 91-74

Cedric Coward and Nate Calmese both had 18 points to lead six Cougs in double figures.

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State Cougars only led by three points at the half against Bradley Friday night, but a 19-1 run to kick off the second half lifted the Cougs to a 91-74 win.

Cedric Coward and Nate Calmese led the way with 18 points as six Cougs scored in double figures in the victory.

WSU kicked off the big run with a Dane Erikstrup three pointer to widen the margin to 48-42. On the ensuing WSU possession, Calmese hit a three to push the lead to nine.

Ethan Price and Coward would also both drill threes to widen the gap before another Erikstrup triple finished off the 19-1 run.

Erikstrup finished with 16 points and Price had 14. 

Christian Davis and Darius Hannah had 14 points apiece to lead the Braves.

The Cougs are now 2-0 on the season and will host Idaho Monday night at Beasley Coliseum. Tip off is set for 6:30 pm.
