WSU lands former Ducks Brown and Hutson from transfer portal

Cougs add a linebacker and wide receiver to shore up roster weaknesses.

PULLMAN, Wash. — WSU has added a pair of former Oregon Ducks via the transfer portal: linebacker Keith Brown and wide receiver Kris Hutson.

Brown began his career in Eugene and registered 36 tackles and a sack in two years at Oregon. He then transferred to Louisville where he registered just a single tackle last season.

Brown was a four star recruit out of Lebanon High School and was the top rated recruit out of the state of Oregon.

Hutson played four seasons at Oregon and recorded 80 receptions for 936 yards and two touchdowns in his career in Eugene. He was also a consensus four star recruit out of high school.

Hutson played in just five games this past season, but only registered one catch for eight yards.

Both players figure to play prominent roles for the Cougs in 2024.
