'We lost a member of our community': WSU football team honoring 13-year-old killed in car crash

An emotional Jake Dickert announced the team will be wearing "ZB" patches to honor Zion Bischoff, who was killed in a car crash on Saturday.

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State Cougars are honoring a 13-year-old who was killed in a car crash near Rosalia, Washington over the weekend.

In a press conference Monday afternoon, an emotional Jake Dickert announced the team will be wearing "ZB" patches on their helmets to honor Zion Bischoff, who was killed in a car crash on Saturday.

Dickert said Bischoff was friends with his daughter, Rylee.

"From our football program to the Bischoff family, we just really offer our condolences, prayers and thoughts, and everyone with our community, we're with you," Dickert said.

WSU will honor a 13-year-old killed in a car crash over the weekend in their game against OSU on Saturday. "Our condolences from our football program go out to Zion's family, his friends, and everyone who knew him."
