SPOKANE, Wash. — The Washington State Cougars' big man found his new college home with South Dakota State on Tuesday.
Former Wazzu center Oscar Cluff announced his transfer on X with the caption "Cougar Nation, thank you for everything …time to go be a Jackrabbit! #gojacks"
The 6'11" center became the tenth WSU player to enter the transfer portal in early April after former head coach Kyle Smith announced he was accepting a new position at Stanford.
Cluff started 23 of 35 games last season, averaging 7 points, 2.4 blocks and 1.2 assists per game.
South Dakota State punched its ticket into the 2024 NCAA March Madness tournament by winning the Summit League Conference Championship, earning a No. 15 seed. The Jackrabbits lost in the first round to No. 2 seed Iowa State.
Washington State earned a spot in the big dance after a historic season, entering as a No. 7 seed and advanced into the second round where they also lost to Iowa State.
Cluff's announcement makes the third Coug to find a new school out of the portal. Pac-12 freshman of the year, Myles Rice, announced he is going to play with the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday while Dylan Darling landed at Idaho State.
