PULLMAN, Mich. — Washington State Athletics announced on Monday they will play Ole Miss in football in 2025.
"The opportunity to face the University of Mississippi, with its rich football history, will be one our student-athletes, coaches and fans will certainly enjoy," said WSU Director of Athletics Anne McCoy.
The 2025 game will be the first meeting between the two programs. The last time the Cougs played an SEC opponent was when they took on Auburn to open the 2023 season.
The addition of Mississippi to the 2025 schedule marks the seventh opponent for WSU's 2025 schedule. The Cougars had announced home contests against Idaho, San Diego State, Washington and Oregon State, while WSU will travel to Ole Miss, North Texas and Virginia.
The contract to play Ole Miss is solely for the 2025 season.
