PULLMAN, Wash. — It appears as if WSU has missed out on another coach. Montana State coach Matt Logie was thought by many to be the next Cougs head coach, but on Tuesday morning Logie sent a tweet inferring he is staying.
The tweet that was sent out just after 6 a.m. on Tuesday said, “Home is where the ❤️ is. Job’s not finished. Circle the Wagons Bobcats! The Best is YET to come!”
In his first season in Bozeman, Logie took a brand new Montana State team to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Big Sky Tournament.
Washington State has been trying to fill their open head coach spot since March 25 when Kyle Smith took the head coach job at Stanford University.
The next head coach will first focus on attempting to retain wing Jaylen Wells and center Oscar Cluff before trying to attract players in the portal to fill out the WSU roster.
