The Washington State University men’s basketball team is hosting University of Washington in their last game of the regular season on Thursday.
This Thursday game will be senior night for Wazzu and will continue the Boeing Apple Cup series.
The Cougs got back-to-back wins last week knocking off USC and UCLA.
Washington State sits in second place in the Pac-12 standings with a record of 23-7 and 14-5 in the Pac-12. UW is ninth in the conference with a 16-14 record and are 8-11 in conference.
WSU still has a shot at winning the regular season championship. The Cougs have to win against their Washington rival then they need Arizona to lose one of their games against UCLA or Oregon. That would put both WSU and Arizona at 15-5 in conference and WSU has the tie breaker over Arizona.

Huskies vs. Cougars - Apple Cup
Thursday's game will be the second time the two teams have played each other this season. UW lost their last game against USC but won against UCLA on Feb. 29.
The Washington teams have had a hearted rivalry since they started playing against each other in 1910. UW has the upper-hand in the Apple Cup series leading 120-79. The Cougs currently are on a 3-game winning streak against the Huskies. The last time Wazzu lost was in Feb. 2022.
The Cougs have won 7 of the last 10 games against the Huskies.
The Huskies leading scorer is Keion Brooks Jr. who averages 21.3 points per game. The Huskies as a team have four players who average double digit points.
After Thursdays game, the Cougs will move on to the Pac-12 Tournament starting Mar. 13 in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
