Former WSU wing Andrej Jakimovski transfers to Colorado

This year's team captain averaged 9.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Cougs this season.

PULLMAN, Wash. — Former WSU wing Andrej Jakimovski has announced he is transferring to Colorado for his final year of collegiate eligibility.

The 6'8" Jakimovski from Kriva Palanka, North Macedonia averaged 9.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in his final season in Pullman.

Jakimovski became the team captain of this year's team and helped lead WSU to the school's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 16 years.

Near the end of the season, Jakimovski picked up a shoulder injury which hindered him greatly down the stretch and in the NCAA Tournament as he shot just 4-21 from the field in his final three games as a Coug.

He finishes an injury marred career in Pullman with 855 career points and a 34 percent mark from beyond the arc.

Jakimovski entered the portal following Kyle Smith's departure for Stanford and now joins a Colorado team desperately in need of players following the departures of KJ Simpson, Eddie Lampkin, J'Vonne Hadley and Luke O'Brien.
