PULLMAN, Wash. — David Riley has added another transfer in Quinnipiac forward Rihards Vavers. The 6'7" Latvian averaged 7.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game and shot 39 percent from beyond the arc as a freshman at Quinnipiac.
He becomes the fourth player to transfer to WSU this offseason joining three of Riley's players from Eastern Washington as Riley continues to build his first roster in Pullman around returning sophomore guard Isaiah Watts.
Vavers scored a career high 18 points in February against Saint Peter's.
