CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington Eagle's star wide receiver Efton Chism III was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Chism III and the Eagles had a big game 1 this past Thursday evening, defeating the Monmouth Hawks 42-27 at Roos Field.
After the first half, Chism III already tallied seven catches for 111 yards and one touchdown.
Chism III finished the night with 12 catches for 173 yards and three touchdowns.
This is the first time in Chism III's career that he won the award.
The now 1-0 Eagles will play their next game on Saturday, September 7 against the Drake Bulldogs at Roos Field.
