PULLMAN, Wash — The Washington State women's basketball team will look to keep the ball rolling during their third round of the WBI Tournament. The Cougars will be playing on their home court in the Beasley Coliseum.
The Cougs advanced to the third round of the tournament after a dominating win over Santa Clara on Sunday. Wazzu hit 43.9% from the field and 41.2% from behind the arc.
With this win, Washington State would advance to the quarterfinals. The Cougs (20-14) are set to play in Pullman against #2 Toledo (28-5).
Toledo advances to the third round after a win over Saint John's on Sunday, 72-71.

The #1 Washington State Cougars vs. the #2 Toledo Rockets WBI Tournament basketball game will tip off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28. The game will be played in Pullman at the Beasley Coliseum.

Thursday's matchup between Washington State and Toledo will be the third all-time meeting between the two teams. Toledo has an edge with a 2-1 record in previous matchups. This is the first time since 2000 that the two teams have played one another. The Cougs have been looking for their first win over the Rockets since 1989.

Toledo’s leading scorer is Sophia Wiard, who averages 14.4 points per game. In addition to Wiard, Quinesha Lockett also averages double-digit points for the Utes.
The Rockets average 73.1 points per game while giving up 60.0 points per game. Washington State averages 69.6 points per game while giving up 61.2 points per game.
