SPOKANE, Wash. — Recruitment season has started for the Gonzaga men's basketball team!
Pepperdine men's basketball's leading scorer, Michael Ajayi, announced on his Instagram that he was committed to Gonzaga basketball team. Ajayi captioned his post with "Coming Home... Go Zags !!! 🏡 🐶"
Ajay is a 6'7" forward from Kent, Washington. He also is team's leader in rebounding, steals and minutes. Per game he averages, 17.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 34.7 minutes. The Washington local is a junior who transferred to Pepperdine after two years as Pierce College.
The new recruit was awarded All-West Coast Conference honors for the 2023-24 season, earning All-WCC first team status beside Gonzaga's Graham Ike, Ryan Nembhard and Anton Watson.
