Inland Northwest Sports Hall of Fame inducting six new members on Tuesday

Hall of Fame memorabilia for all inductees can be viewed year-round at the Spokane Arena.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Six athletes from the Inland Northwest will be solidified in history on Tuesday after being inducted to the region’s Hall of Fame.

Doors will open at the Spokane Arena at 3:15 and the ceremony will start around 4 p.m. in the Elysian Room.

Tuesday’s inductees include:

  • Stacy Clinesmith -  Former Mead superstar and Player of the Year in 1996. She played in the WNBA and has been on the Gonzaga women’s coaching staff since 2014
  • Sue Doering - Legendary volleyball coach with 33 years of experience. Her final record at Colfax High School was 834-195
  • Issac Fontaine – Washington State University’s career leader in three-point shooting percentage. He hit 45.7 percent of his shots from behind the arc.
  • Jennifer Stinson Greeny - A standout athlete in multiple sports and an award-winning volleyball coach
  • Dennis LaRue – Graduated from Gonzaha Prep and is known as one of the best U.S Hockey referees in the sport’s history
  • Bud Namek - A legend in the local broadcasting world

The Inland Northwest Sports Hall of Fame is a committee of the Spokane Sports Commission and includes Spokane Sports Commission board members, sportswriters, broadcasters and other sports-minded people in the community.
