COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The 2019 Coeur d'Alene Ironman 70.3 was well-received by its athletes, placing in the top 10 in three different categories in the 2019 Ironman Athlete Choice Awards.
According to Ironman, last year's half-distance competition in Coeur d'Alene was tied for second in the "Would Recommend to a Friend" category. It also ranked No. 7 in "Overall Venue Experience" and No 10 in "Overall Host City Experience."
The Ironman Athlete Choice Awards ranks all of the Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races in multiple categories.
In 2021, the Coeur d'Alene Ironman will return to the full 140.6 mile format, and will be held at that length every three years. Coeur d'Alene's Ironman was taken out of the full-length rotation in 2017.
