State semifinals rolled on in both Washington and Idaho.

WASHINGTON BOYS PREP BASKETBALL

4A State

Semifinal

Central Valley 61, Union 53 (highlights in video): Union got within two with 5:30 to go but the Bears went on an 11-2 run after that to seal the game. Central Valley will play Mt. Si for a state title on Saturday at 9 PM. It’s the Bears first shot at a state championship since 2012.

2A State

Semifinal

Clarkston 42, Lindbergh 38 (highlights in video): Tru Allen scored 19 points in the Bantams win. Clarkston plays North Kitsap in the state title game on Saturday at 5 PM.

2B State

Semifinal

Brewster 60, St. George's 57 (highlights in video): The Dragons had a chance to tie with a three-pointer from Dan Rigsby, but it was no good. The Bears advance to the state title game against Life Christian on Saturday at 3 PM.

1B State

Semifinal

Odessa 62, Naselle 56 (highlights in video): State scoring champ Ryan Moffet was held to just five points on five shot attempts, but four other Tigers scored in double figures as Odessa advanced to the 1B state title game. Tim DeWulf led the way with 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting. Naselle's Ethan Lindstrom led all scorers with 16 points.

GIRLS PREP BASKETBALL

4A State

Semifinal

Central Valley 61, Union 53 (highlights in video): The Bears raced out to an eight point lead at the half and led by 12 at the end of the third quarter. Peyton Howard lead CV with 18 points. The Bears are headed back to their third state championship game in five years, and will play #1 seeded Woodinville on Saturday at 5 PM.

West Valley (Spokane) 43, Tumwater 40 (highlights in video): West Valley’s Hailey Marlow hit the game winning three right before the buzzer to send the Eagles to their second straight state championship. They will play #1 seeded Lynden at 5 PM on Saturday.

Liberty (Spangle) 64, Northwest Christian (Colbert) 44 (highlights in video): The Lancers were led by Maisie Burnham who scored 29 points. After losing the state title game last year, Liberty returns to play in it Saturday against La Conner at 5 PM.

Inchelium 67, Mount Vernon Christian 42 (highlights in video): Rylee Desautel scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds. The Hornets play Oakesdale on Saturday in the state title game at 9 PM.

Oakesdale 37, Pomeroy 34 (highlights in video): The Pirates had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer at the end of regulation, but missed. The Nighthawks were led by Lizzy Perry's 14 points. Oakesdale plays Inchelium in the state championship on Saturday at 9 PM.

IDAHO BOYS PREP BASKETBALL

Class 5A

State Semifinal

Post Falls 73, Rocky Mountain 66 (highlights in video): Post Falls led by 18 after the third quarter and held on to punch their ticket to the 5A state championship game. They’ll play Borah at 7 PM PT Saturday for a shot at a state title.

Moscow 63, Kuna 60 (highlights in video): The Moscow Bears survived a Kuna 30 point onslaught in the fourth quarter to go to the state championship. Kuna trailed by 24 at one point in the third quarter but never gave up. Moscow will play Preston at 5 PM PT for a state title.

Ambrose 39, Potlatch 37 (highlights in video): Potlatch went scoreless in overtime as the Loggers fall to the third place game. This is the first time since 2004 that no White Pine League team will be in the state title game.
