LAS VEGAS — Gonzaga Bulldogs senior guard Laura Stockton had to be helped off the floor with an apparent left knee injury in their semi-finals match up against Saint Mary's.
According to KREM Sports Director Brenna Greene, Stockton went down with an apparent injury to her left knee in the third quarter of the game. Stockton had to be helped to the locker room by staff.
Greene then tweeted in the second overtime of the game that sophomore guard Jill Townsend went down with an injury and that many members of the Bulldogs' staff were on the floor around Townsend.
Townsend also had to be helped off the floor, Greene tweeted.
Stockton did not return to the bench until the fourth quarter, wearing a large brace on her left knee. Stockton's family joined Laura in the locker room in the fourth quarter.
The Gonzaga Prep graduate has helped lead to the Bulldogs to a 27-3 record in her final season.
