SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Bulldogs are back on the floor this Saturday for another West Coast Conference matchup, this one against the University of San Diego Toreros. Saturday’s game will be back in the Kennel after hosting Pepperdine earlier this week at the Spokane Arena.
Gonzaga started off conference play hot with a dominating 86-60 win over the Waves. Gonzaga has won all 25 conference openers under head coach Mark Few. The Zags will look to start a win streak against the 10-6 Toreros who are sixth in the West Coast Conference standings.

The Toreros vs. Gonzaga game tips off in the Kennel at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 6. The game can be seen in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene region on NBC and can be seen outside the Inland Northwest on ESPN+.

Gonzaga is getting back into the swing of playing ball after not playing much over the holiday break. The game on Saturday will be the second game in three days.
On Thursday, the Zags played a complete game with five players scoring in double digits.
The University of San Diego Toreros are coming off a loss to open WCC play. The Toreros lost on Thursday to Saint Mary’s by a score of 81-70. The Toreros leading scorer was Deuce Turner who had 34 points on a 15-25 night shooting from the field.
Deuce Turner leads the Toreros averaging just over 15 points per game. Wayne McKinney III is right behind averaging nearly 14.5 points per game.
One thing the Zags could look to capitalize is the amount of Toreros turnovers. USD gave up a season high 18 turnovers in their loss to Saint Mary’s.
A win over the Toreros would give head coach Mark Few his 699th win in his career.
