SEATTLE — The Gonzaga Bulldogs are hitting the road to Seattle again, this time to take on the No. 5 ranked and reigning national champion UCONN Huskies. The Zags are coming off a 78-40 win over Mississippi Valley State on Monday. The game against the Huskies will be the Zags second game of the year versus a ranked opponent. The first one came against Purdue when the Bulldogs lost 73-63.

Here are the details for those wondering what channel the Mississippi Valley State-Gonzaga game is on.
The UCONN vs. Gonzaga game tips off at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 15. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN 2.
Huskies vs. Bulldogs
These two teams are no strangers to one another. The teams last met in last season's NCAA Tournament West Regional Final. On that day, the Zags were run out of the gym by the Huskies, losing by a score of 82-54.
The game is setting up to be one of the better matchups on paper in the early part of the 2023 season. Gonzaga brings a record of 8-2 into the contest with losses to Purdue and Washington and the UCONN Huskies bring in a record of 9-1 into the game with their sole loss against the number two Kansas Jayhawks.
The Zags leading scorer, Graham Ike is averaging 14.2 points per game while UCONN’s Tristan Newton leads the team averaging 17 points per game.
The Zags last win over a Top-5 team was last season, 100-90, versus No. 4 Alabama in Birmingham on Dec. 17.
