SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga men’s basketball team will look to win their sixth game in a row on Saturday when they host Santa Clara at the Kennel. In addition to winning six straight, the Zags have also won 12 of their last 14 games including six games on the road.
Gonzaga sits in second place in the WCC standings at 21-6 overall and 11-2 in conference.
Santa Clara has been up and down since knocking off Gonzaga on January 11. The Broncos are 6-4 in their last ten games and 18-10 overall which puts them in fourth place in the WCC standings.
Saturday's game will also be the last in the Kennel for Spokane native, Anton Watson.

Broncos vs. Bulldogs
The Broncos are heading to Spokane for the first time since February 2, 2023. The two teams met earlier this year and it was a disaster for Gonzaga. They lost 77-76 ending the 26 game win streak against Santa Clara. The game was when a lot of Gonzaga fans started questioning this team.
The two teams have met 54 times with Gonzaga holding a record of 49-5. Before January, Gonzaga hadn’t lost to Santa Clara since February 17, 2011.
Adama Bal is Santa Clara’s leader in scoring, assists and steals, averaging 14.6 points per game, 3.2 assists per game and one steal per game.
Following Saturday’s game, the Bulldogs aren’t on the court again until February 29 in San Francisco.
