SAN FRANCISCO — The Gonzaga men’s basketball team is back in the Top 25 rankings after wins over Portland and Santa Clara last week. The team hopes to end the season strong with two games this week in California.
The Zags will be back on the floor on February 29 in San Francisco.
Gonzaga is amid their longest win streak of the season. They have won six in a row and 11 of their last 13. The team is in second place in the WCC and is 22-6 overall and 12-2 in conference.
Thursday’s game will be for second place in the WCC. Currently, San Francisco is in third place in the WCC standings with a 22-7 overall record and a record of 11-3 in conference.

Bulldogs vs. Dons
The Zags are heading to San Francisco for the first time since January 5, 2023. The two teams met earlier this year in Spokane, a game Gonzaga won 77-72. The five-point victory is one of the smallest margins of victory in the series between the two teams.
Overall, Gonzaga is 51-4 against San Francisco. Gonzaga’s four losses against San Francisco in the last 24 years have all come on the road at San Francisco. Gonzaga’s last loss against San Francisco came on February 18, 2012.
Jonathan Mogbo leads the Dons in points, rebounds and steals per game. Mogbo averages 14.9 points per game, 10.1 boards per game and 1.7 steals per game.
Following Thursday’s game, the Zags will head to Saint Mary’s for the final game before the WCC tournament.
