Gonzaga guard Katie Campbell out for the season with knee injury

The injury happened in the fourth quarter in the game against Bringham Young University on Feb. 1 at the McCarthey Center.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga women’s basketball senior guard Katie Campbell is sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an injury.

In a press release, Sports Information Director Jenna Larson said Campbell injured her left knee.

Larson said the injury happened in the fourth quarter in the game against Bringham Young University on Feb. 1 at the McCarthey Center.

The Zags went on to defeat the Cougars 59-44, remaining comfortably atop the West Coast Conference.

Campbell led the Zags with a career-high tying 17 points to go with a career-high five steals.

Gonzaga's next game is on the road at Saint Mary's on Saturday at 2 p.m.
