WASHINGTON — Inland Northwest men’s basketball is having a tough time in the AP top 25 poll.
Washington State University finds themselves short for yet another week.
AP voters gave the Cougs 82 points this week but they still have four schools ahead of them in this week's race to the top 25: Utah St., Colorado St., Texas Tech and San Diego St.
WSU is currently riding a five-game win streak after beating Oregon 62-56 on Saturday, Feb. 10.
The Cougs face off with California at the Beasley Coliseum on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m.
Another team struggling to get top 25 votes is the Gonzaga Bulldogs with only 50 points this week, even after a critical win against formerly ranked #18 Kentucky.
The Wildcats dropped four spots since the loss against the Bulldogs, Kentucky now ranks #22.
Replacing the Wildcats is none other than GU rival Saint Mary’s, who shot up to #18 in the AP after earning 296 points.
The Zags play in Los Angeles against Loyola Marymount on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m.
