Want Zag tickets? Here's how to get them

SPOKANE, Wash. - Many Gonzaga Men's Basketball fans lined up outside the ticket office Monday morning for tickets to the first exhibition game of the season.

Tickets to see the Zags can be tough to get, so 2 On Your Side looked into ways to get you in the door.

Chances of purchasing tickets can be slim. According to the university, every game for the past decade has sold out, which means staff have not sold any tickets to the public.

However, you may still be able to get seats to see the Zags if you get lucky.

"They're hard to get," said Gonzaga fans Tom and Sue Anselmo. "Yeah, they're always sold out."

There are 1,200 seats available for students at the McCarthy Center and only 300 for faculty and guests, according to the ticket office.

Staff tickets were up for grabs for the first time at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. Staff members only had an hour to claim them by swiping their staff identification card.

After staff and students get their tickets, the ticked office said whatever is left becomes available for Bulldog Club Members online. Members pay $250 each year, which gives them access to single game tickets. It is on a first come, first serve basis, so they have to click fast. The ticket office said those seats typically sell out in 30 minutes.

Your best bet to get a ticket is to be a Bulldog Member or be a guest of a faculty or a season ticket holder, according to the ticket office.

If those are not options, all hope is not lost. You can still win tickets to see the Zags at away games.

For the first time ever, the Kennel Club created a new membership for the public called Zag Nation. It is an effort to get everyone involved, according to the group.

"It's very important to include the Spokane community because we would be no where without them," said Kennel Club Board Member Caitlin Rosellini.

So, bottom line, can you get tickets to see the Zags? The ticket office said it is tough, but not impossible.
