SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga men only led by eight at the half against LMU, but went on a 20-5 run in the second half to defeat the Lions 85-67.
The Bulldogs had an extremely efficient offensive night, shooting 60% from the field and 72% from the free throw line. Overall, Filip Petrusev led the Zags with 21 points, going 5-of-6 from the field and 11-of-15 from the free throw line.
Five Gonzaga players ended the night with double figures. Admon Gilder and Drew Timme tied for the second most points on the team with 17. Timme also shot 8-for-9 from the field. Ryan Woolridge and Corey Kispert rounded out the double figures club, with 12 and 11 points respectively.
The most notable play of the game came during Gonzaga's 20-5 run when Ryan Woolridge sent a no look pass to to Filip Petrusev.
That fit a theme for the evening, as the Zags outscored the Lions 20-7 in fast break points.
Killian Tillie did not play in the contest as he is nursing a sprained ankle.
Gonzaga's next game is on Saturday at Saint Mary's at 7 PM. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
