SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga women's basketball will have its star player Yvonne Ejim for another year.
The senior announced her intent to use her COVID year eligibility to return to Gonzaga for a fifth year before Gonzaga's home game against San Francisco on Thursday night. The announcement was made on a video played on the jumbotron in the Kennel before tip-off.
Ejim has enjoyed her best season in a Bulldogs uniform in the 2023-24, averaging a career high 20.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, all while shooting an impressive 63% from the field.
Her dominant campaign has led to multiple award watch lists, including the Becky Hammon Player of the Year Award.
