Gonzaga uses 28-2 run to kickstart lopsided 105-63 win over San Diego

SAN DIEGO — San Diego led Gonzaga 7-5 early on before a 28-2 Bulldogs run put the game away in the first half en route to a 105-63 drubbing.

Braden Huff had 18 points off the bench in the first half and finished with a career high 26.

A trio of Zags finished with double doubles: Anton Watson had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Ben Gregg had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Ryan Nembhard had 12 points and 12 assists.

Gonzaga led the Toreros 54-27 at halftime and led by as many as 43 points.

Nolan Hickman had 13 points and Dusty Stromer chipped in 11 off the bench as six Zags finished in double figures.

Nembhard finished his third consecutive game without committing a turnover.

Gonzaga will return home for a tilt with San Francisco on Thursday night. Tip off is set for 6:00 PM.
