SPOKANE, Wash. — Ismaila Diagne, a 7-foot-center from Senegal, has announced his commitment to join the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the 2024-25 season.
Diagne's addition adds to an already successful offseason with last year's starting five committing to stay and big pickups, including the addition of Arkansas grad transfer Khalif Battle, Patriot League Player of the Year Braden Smith and All-WCC wing Michael Ajayi.
Diagne, 17, helped take the Real Madrid U18 team to victory at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in the EuroLeague Final Four last May. He also spent time on the Real Madrid national team.
Summer practice for the Zags is underway even head coach Mark Few staying busy this summer being part of the Team USA coaching staff for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Excitement brews in Spokane for the upcoming season as Gonzaga continues to impress in the offseason.
