Kayla Williams scores 25 points as Cal blows out Gonzaga 86-65

This marks the first loss in 38 home games for Gonzaga.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Four Cal Bears scored in double figures led by Kayla Williams, who had 25 points as the Gonzaga women were dealt their first home loss in 38 games, 86-65.

Yvonne Ejim scored a game-high 27 points and freshman Allie Turner scored 20 points in her first collegiate start in the losing effort.

The Bears jumped out to a quick nine-point lead and led by nine after a quarter thanks to 10 early points from Lulu Twidale.

Gonzaga was never able to get much closer as the Zags turned the ball over 24 times in the loss and allowed Cal to shoot over 58 percent from the field.

GU drops to 1-2 on the season and will host former guard Payton Muma and the Wyoming Cowgirls on Sunday. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
