SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga and UCLA basketball have officially agreed to a two-year series. The two teams will meet in the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons. The first game as part of the series between the two schools will tip off in the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, CA on December 28, 2024.
The two will meet again just about a year later at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on December 13, 2025.
It will be the 10th and 11th all-time meetings between the west coast programs. GU has won seven of the previous nine matchups, including the last four. The Bruins and Bulldogs have met in each of the last four seasons, with three of those games decided by a combined 10 points.
The Zags have won the last three NCAA Tournament matchups against UCLA, including an unforgettable 93-90 win in overtime in the national semifinal in Indianapolis in 2021. Jalen Suggs hit the game-winner as time expired from near half-court. In the Sweet 16 in 2023, Julian Strawther hit a three-pointer with 7.2 seconds left in regulation to give Gonzaga the 79-76 win.
