LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — Inland Northwest golfers are a step closer to getting a TopGolf according to a code amendment request submitted to the Liberty Lake Planning Commission.
According to documents from the City of Liberty Lake, TopGolf is looking at a site located near 22710 E. Country Vista Drive for its new location.
The company says the $25 million facility would create an estimated 250 jobs in the region and they estimate the facility would see 250,000 visitors per year.
The proposed facility would feature 70 climatized bays so visitors could use it all year round.
In the planning documents, TopGolf calls Liberty Lake “an excellent midpoint to draw in the entire Spokane-Coeur d’Alene MSA.”
Topgolf says that visitors to their locations have many different levels of golf aptitude. A study performed by the National Golf Federation showed that visitors to TopGolf break down as follows.
- 8% are avid green grass golfers
- 14% are moderate green grass golfers
- 27% are occasional green grass golfers
- 51% are non-golfers
