Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor hinted to his possible retirement on Twitter Sunday.

It appears that a neck injury he sustained last season could be ending the 30-year-old's NFL career.

In a series on tweets, he wrote, "God has given me a sign that I just can't ignore. I've played through all types of bruises and injuries at a high level. But this one, I just can't ignore."

He added, "To walk away from the game by choice is one thing, to walk away from the game because of the risk of paralysis is another,"

He also said the "final test showed no healing."

Chancellor missed the final seven games of last season after he was injured while making a tackle late in a November win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Chancellor, a four-time Pro Bowler, was a fifth-round draft pick for the Seahawks in 2010.
