Here are the upgrades Indians fans can expect ahead of opening night at Avista Stadium

After this year's season, crews will work on a full field renovation, a dugout renovation and additional upgrades on both sides of the field.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Avista Stadium is going into this upcoming baseball season with a lot of new upgrades, including new lighting, new clubhouses and more.

Spokane Indians General Manager Kyle Day gave KREM 2 a tour of those upgrades, starting with the new home clubhouse.

"So, there is now more space for the players," Day said. "There's a commissary, there's a new athletic training room and an updated clubhouse for the players."

On top of the new clubhouse, Molina Field will feature some additional space in the wiffle ball area for fans to enjoy. Day said the project really started around September 2023.

After this year's season, Day says crews will work on a full field renovation, a dugout renovation and additional upgrades on both sides of the field. All of those upgrades will need to be completed by next year's opening day.

"It's  been several years coming," Day said. "But, we feel really good about it, and we're excited about the changes and they're welcome upgrades for the players and we should have some great fan amenities."
