Spokane Indians beat the Vancouver Canadians 3-2, win Northwest League Championships

This is the first time the Indians have won a Northwest League title since 2008.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Indians season ended Saturday night at Gonzaga University's Patterson Baseball Complex with a 3-2 win against the Vancouver Canadians to win the Northwest League Championships.

Going into the tenth inning tied at two, Kyle Karros took a fastball to the arm with bases loaded, locking in the 3-2 score to win the last game of the championship series.

This is the first time the Indians have won the Northwest League title since 2008.

Micheal Prosecky had the biggest start of his career Saturday, allowing just one earned run over five frames while striking out five against only two walks.

Then Wellington Herrera took over for Prosecky in the sixth. Herrera struck out four batters over two scoreless innings.

Carlos Torres threw a scoreless eighth inning. And Sam Weatherly allowed only one unearned run in the game's final two frames to secure the win.

Charlie Condon finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. Cole Carrigg and Karros chipped in the two other RBIs, wrapping up a stellar season for the Indians.
