Glenallen Hill Jr. wins Northwest League Player of the Week award in first week with Indians

G.J. hit .450 with a pair of home runs in his first week in Spokane.

SPOKANE, Wash. — What a first week in Spokane for Glenallen Hill Jr.!

G.J. earned the Northwest League Player of the Week award in his first week playing for the Spokane Indians.

Hill was called up to Spokane from Fresno on Wednesday following the disciplinary demotions of two players.

All he did was rake in his first week with the Indians hitting .450 with a pair of home runs and a pair of doubles while driving in three and scoring four runs.

Hill hit .248 with six home runs and 21 runs batted in through 34 games with Fresno earlier this season.

Hill is the son of former Seattle Mariner Glenallen Hill. He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2019 but was released in 2022.

The Colorado Rockies signed G.J. this offseason as he attempts to make another run to the big leagues.
