Amazon's Winter Wonderland transforms its campus into an immersive holiday experience

The experience is open to the public now till January 7. Sponsored by Amazon.

SEATTLE — If you're looking for some holiday cheer in Downtown Seattle, be sure to stop by the Amazon campus in South Lake Union.

"Right now, we are hosting the Amazon Winter Wonderland celebration," said Taylor Hoang, Amazon's Community Engagement manager. "Amazon has deep roots in the Puget Sound region and we are committed to our community. This is an opportunity for us to celebrate the winter season and give opportunities for families and children to come down and celebrate the winter holidays with us here. We want to support our local small businesses that are open on campus to the public and it's just a fun time to be downtown."

And when you come down, you can see and do plenty on the Amazon campus.

“At the Day One Playfield, we have these large human-sized snow globes that are very interactive. You can sit in it; it lights up as you move on the chairs. Great Instagram pictures for the family," said Hoang. "We also have our famous Amazon banana stand where you can partake in bananas. Across the street at our Nitro Plaza, we have these beautiful winter cherry blossom trees that are all lifted up and a great opportunity to take pictures."

The Nitro Enchanted Forest on Amazon's Nitro Plaza is a great place for an Instagramble moment.

But as magical as Amazon's Winter Wonderland looks in the day, it really shines at night.

"In the daytime, you can definitely come down and enjoy, but it looks amazing and absolutely beautiful at night when everything's lit up," said Hoang. "It's a beautiful time to come down, spend time with the family, support your local businesses, help revitalize our downtown and then just enjoy the winter holidays."

Amazon’s Winter Wonderland is going on now till December 15. Amazon will also be holding its annual Winter Market on December 7 - 8.
