COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — A Spokane Valley man drowned near the North Idaho College Beach on Saturday.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Ismail Bilmece, 35, died after swimming in the Spokane River.
KCSO said a marine deputy quickly found him.
First responders used life saving measures on the shore.
The man was taken to Kootenai Health, where he was pronounced dead.
