SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A seat is up for grabs in Washington's 5th Congressional District.
After Tuesday night's Primary Election, the polls show that Michael Baumgartner is leading the polls by around 29,892 votes.
Among the candidates for the spot include Carmela Conroy, who received 20,938 votes.
Spokane City Councilmember Jonathan Bingle has received 3,621 votes as of Tuesday night.
Whoever is elected to the seat will replace longtime representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers, who announced earlier this year that she was not seeking reelection.
If results hold, Baumgartner and Conroy will face each other in the November general election.
