SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Initial numbers show that Spokane County voters will pass Spokane County Measure One.
According to the latest numbers from the Spokane County Elections Office, 65.73% of voters in Spokane County voted "Yes" to the measure, and 34.27% of voters in Spokane County voted "No" to the measure.
The proposed tax is 1/10th of a percent. The funds collected would be used to operate, maintain and repair the juvenile detention center.
If the measure is approved by a majority of voters, the renewal would start on January 1, 2026 and would extend through December 31, 2035.
