SPOKANE, Wash. — In the first count of votes from Tuesday night's election, Dave Upthegrove is leading the race for Washington's Public Lands Commissioner.
Upthegrove is leading right now with 53.11% of votes, and Beutler trails with 46.89% of votes.
Upthegrove and Beutler are seeking to take over the office that is currently held by Hilary Franz, who has held the position since 2017 and sought election as a representative for Washington's 6th Congressional District in this election cycle.
