EAST POINT, Ga. — Comedian Katt Williams was arrested again this week, this time for allegedly throwing a salt shaker inside a Georgia restaurant.
Officers were called to the Spondivits restaurant in East Point, Ga., on Wednesday night where they found an individual bleeding from an injury to his upper lip, Capt. C.R. Chandler with the East Point Police Department said. The restaurant manager and other witnesses told police Williams injured him, Chandler told the Associated Press.
According to the Associated Press, Chandler said the altercation began when some members of Williams' family arrived at the restaurant south of Atlanta and seated themselves. An argument broke out between the family and restaurant staff when the family was told the seats were reserved for another group. When Williams arrived, the argument escalated and Williams threw a salt shaker at the restaurant manager, Chandler said.
Williams wasn't at the restaurant when police arrived, but he was located a short time later. He was arrested and charged with one count of battery. He bonded out of jail early Thursday morning.
In the last few months, Williams has been involved in a series of arrests in the Atlanta area.
In February, Williams was arrested on a battery charge after a pool supply store employee said the comedian punched him during an argument.
Days later, he was arrested for allegedly beating and threatening to kill one of his bodyguards.
Then, Williams was accused of assaulting five women and stealing their cellphones, identification and bank cards.
Williams then spent time in a Hall County (Ga.) Jail after being charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a viral video showing him fighting a 17-year-old.
