New Orleans to hold jazz funeral for Prince

Fans in New Orleans will pay respects to Prince on Monday with perhaps one of the most fitting send-offs — a jazz funeral. The funeral march, a long-standing tradition in the city, will include a marching band and the release of white doves at sunset in the historic Treme neighborhood. It's one of several memorial events that have cropped up nationwide to honor the award-winning musician, who died Thursday at the age of 57.

Saudi prince to reveal post-oil vision

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman plans to introduce his vision for a post-oil economy in Saudi Arabia Monday. The strategic plan, which likely will include several economic and social programs, follows a drop in crude oil prices and is designed to diversify the kingdom's economy so it is less reliant on oil production. Crude oil prices fell this year to its lowest levels in a decade, causing Saudi stocks to slip.

Japanese firms recover from earthquake

Toyota is expected to resume production on most of its assembly lines on Monday after a series of strong earthquakes last week forced the company to halt production at more than a dozen locations. However, two of the companies' plants that produce its Lexus models likely will remain shutdown until Thursday, potentially delaying the arrivals of some Lexus models under production. Nissan also plans to resume plant operations Monday, while Honda said production at its Kumamoto plant will remain down through Friday.

Tonight's 'open debate' lets the Internet ask the questions

Republican Rep. David Jolly and Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson, two U.S. Senate candidates looking to take Marco Rubio's soon-to-be empty congressional seat in Florida, will face off in a debate Monday night. But it's not just any debate: the Open Debate Coalition will have Jolly and Grayson answer questions crowdsourced from the Internet. The organization will broadcast the debate online and has a website where visitors can submit questions or vote on existing inquiries.
