GREAT FALLS, Mont. — Authorities at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana, announced the lockdown at the base has been lifted after reports of an active shooter. According to the base, the threat was announced to be in building 219.
According to the base, a suspicious person was reported on base as an active shooter. There were no confirmed shots fired and there are no deaths or injuries reported.
The base locked down just before 10:30 a.m. PT on Thursday, Feb. 15.
FPCON Delta was implemented due to the incident. Base officials say the base has returned to FPCON Bravo.
Schools in the Great Falls Public School District were briefly placed on lockdown, but the lockdowns have since been lifted.
